St James Church

We offer two Sunday worship services:

At 8:00 am enjoy our quiet, friendly service of Holy Communion. We don’t sing hymns at this service and we use the traditional Church of England wording.

Our 10:00 am service is a seventy five minute experience designed to equip and inspire adults to live life “right way up, in a sometimes upside down world”. We have a small but enthusiastic choir; our organist Brian Tidy has been coaxing beautiful sounds from our church organ for more than 60 years, and we sing traditional hymns as well as newer songs. We have Children's Church for the younger members of the congregation. We look forward to your visit.

We also offer a Holy Communion service every Tuesday

At 12.00 noon we get together to share the Lord’s supper. This is a friendly relaxed service. There are no hymns, although some services include contemplative relaxed music before and after the service. Those attending the service often volunteer to read the lessons. The service lasts about 40 minutes. Following the service many of those who attend enjoy lunch at the St James Church Centre Lunch Club where you will find good home cooked food at reasonable prices.

St Francis Church

St Francis Church enjoys a family friendly Eucharist every Sunday at 10:30am with parallel activities for children.

On the second Sunday of every month our "All Age" service provides an opportunity for all ages to take part in a service that encourages creativity and a chance to embraces new forms of worship.  We particularly enjoy welcoming visitors and potential new members..

Asian Anglican Living Church

The Asian Anglican Living Church is an Punjabi speaking congregation which serves the community of East Oxford. Their worship service (which uses both Punjabi and English) is held on Sundays at 1.45pm. at St. James Church.

There are also regular home fellowship meetings each week and activities for youth.  (For more details contact: Rev. Richard Chand)
